South African illustrator and animator Fran Labuschagne creates delightfully fun illustrations which encapsulate all the best bits of the environment she’s depicting. Taking inspiration from relatable elements in her life, such as taking a bath or a day at the beach, she finds all the charming little details and produces work which you want to keep exploring.
Fran’s style is very playful; with her unique, long-legged characters, mix of rigid and organic shapes and an underlying sense of humour. She uses limited colour palettes and a subtle use of textures, which only strengthens her already confidently composed illustrations.
