Junk Jewels is the creation of Zoe Lindsley, born out of a passion for collecting vintage jewellery and beautiful objects with a story behind them.
While she was a fashion student, Zoe often made jewellery and accessories to help style her outfits and in 2005, she decided to start selling her designs.
Starting off with a stall at London’s world-famous Portobello Road market (well-known for being a breeding ground for creative start-ups), each and every item was handmade by Zoe. She often used intricate items that she found deemed as ‘junk,’ and turned them into beautiful, wearable jewels, Junk Jewels.
The purpose of the brand is to create accessible collections and playful jewellery with a positive message, designed for everyday wear. The jewellery can be worn alone or layered and stacked, and it’s not limited to a ‘type’ of woman, style or budget. Each piece is intended to be gifted with love and sentiment, thoughtfully made with the wearer in mind.
