Wee Gallery is all about helping little ones develop by playing with visuals through black and white geometric designs.
The company was founded by Surya and Dave in 2002 after they had their son Sid and read everything they could about babies’ development. They learnt that babies develop in so many ways during the first five years of their lives that it dwarfs everything they learn after this, for the rest of their lives. That’s when they discovered a range of fascinating facts that helped them when coming up with products for Wee Gallery. Things like newborns only being able to see as far as 12 to 15 inches away, being most taken with their parents’ faces and being drawn to simple but repeating geometric shapes in black and white are a few of the things they found.
High-contrast, visual patterns promote infant brain development, and at around 1 years old, little ones start to recognise animal forms. All of this information was so fascinating to Surya and Dave, so they used this to create a planet of animals. From their range of books to their cuddle bunnies, their products are a great way to introduce children to a number of different animals, while educating them and helping with their development along the way.
