Meaning “vineyards of the violet,” Bricco delle Viole is one of most famous Barolo crus with 60 year-old vines giving a delicate and aromatic fruit character, full of cherries, dark berries, violets and dried roses. The 100% Nebbiolo wine is a brilliant ruby red in colour. On the nose, there is an incredible bouquet of purple flowers, raspberries and redcurrants, which interlace with hints of rose, rhubarb, toffee apple and incense. As the wine opens, layers of marasca cherries, white truffle, lavender and anise fill the nose.
This expressive yet balanced wine with red fruit flavours, subtle minerality and refined tannins is a fabulous addition to any wine gift box.
